Our Mission
To provide a diverse student body with a rigorous education in a dynamic environment focusing on intellectual, social, and emotional development to ensure students are well-prepared for high school and beyond. Using standards-based curriculum, enriched with the Greek and Latin languages, students engage in dialogue using the Socratic and paideia method to become critical thinkers. Preparing students to succeed and contribute to the global community as responsible citizens.

HCCS Park Slope designated National Blue Ribbon School as well as NYS Education Department “Recognition School” for academic excellence, student performance, and graduation rates.
HCCS students significantly outperform in both math and reading state exams compared to NYC public school averages (math proficiency 12% higher; reading proficiency 10-26% higher).
HCCS student-teacher ratio of 12.4:1 to 14.2:1 is lower than national average and compares favorably to nearby schools.
HCCS graduates routinely accepted into the city’s top-tier public and private high schools.

The school will use a standards based curriculum and will enhance instruction with the study of the Greek and Latin languages. The school will utilize didactic instruction, coaching and Socratic questioning. All students will leave the school prepared intellectually, socially, and emotionally to gain entry to and succeed in the best high schools in New York City and contribute to the global community as responsible citizens. Specializing in Greek Curriculum with a focus on Greek Langauge & Mythology and Paideia Seminars.
